2021 MG Hector Shine trim launched at Rs.14.51 Lakh
MG Motor has added another trim to the 2021 Hector lineup with the Shine making this the mid variant for the SUV. The Hector Shine will be available in Petrol and Diesel engine options and is placed between the Hector Super and Hector Smart trims. Also seen on the Hector Shine is the introduction of the Havana Grey body color option. The Hector competes with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier in the segment. It maybe recalled that Tata has recently launched the XTA+ trim for the Harrier. The MG Hector Shine Petrol MT is priced at Rs. 14. 51 Lakh while the Petrol CVT Automatic comes in at Rs. 15.71 Lakh, Hector Shine Diesel MT comes in at Rs. 16.49 Lakh.
MG Motor had recently updated the Hector lineup launching the Hector 2021. On the feature list the Hector Shine gets electric sunroof, push button start/stop, electric parking brake and smart entry. Other features included are 17-inch alloy wheels and a 26.4cm HD touchscreen AVN System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, telescopic steering. MG Motor has also a special accessories pack for the Hector Shine that includes seat covers, sun shade, wireless charger, air purifier, 3D mats, steering cover. Like the other Hector trims the Hector Shine also gets the MG Shield which includes 5 years unlimited kilometer warranty, 5 years RSA and 5 labour free service.
Powering the MG Hector Shine is the turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines. The petrol unit makes 141 bhp with 250 Nm and can be had with a choice between six-speed manual gearbox and CVT automatic gearbox. The diesel motor, on the other hand, develops 168 bhp and 350 Nm. MG Hector Shine diesel is available with six-speed manual gearbox only.
