Exclusive Scoop – Skoda Kamiq Caught Testing, will rival the Kia Seltos, MG Hector & Hyundai Creta

Skoda had announced their India 2.0 strategy some time back and the 1st model to be launched under that could very well be the Kamiq. We have spotted the Skoda Kamiq test mule being tested around Pune without any camouflage. The Kamiq was spotted by Adnan Shaikh and a big shoot-out to our Ace Sharpshooter Aarya Borhade for getting them to us.

The Skoda Kamiq is expected to be launching in India in second half of 2020. The styling on the Kamiq is trademark Skoda family design with the large butterfly grill, chrome surrounds, dual stage LED headlights and the character line on the hood mating on the Skoda logo. Everything on the Kamiq that was spotted looked in good proportion and very premium. The rear styling on the Kamiq is highlighted with the flushed slim LED tail lamps that stretch neatly, dual-tone bumpers and a large rear glass with integrated spoiler.

Powering the Skoda Kamiq in India could be a choice of three engine options that include 1.0L Turbo Petrol, 1.5L Turbo Petrol and a 1.6L Diesel engine. These engines currently power the Skoda Kamiq in the international markets. Skoda could also add the 1.5L Diesel engine that currently powers the Rapid on the line-up. Transmission options would mostly include the 5-speed manual and the 7-speed DSG Automatic options.
