Hero Motocorp Launches 2018 Super Splendor at Rs.57,190
Hero Motocorp India today launched the 2018 Super Splendor priced at Rs. 57,190 Ex Delhi. The 2018 Super Splendor comes with new styling and a brand new engine developed by Hero Motocorp themselves. As per Hero MotoCorp the New engine design offers 27% more power and 6% more torque to use, allowing the New Splendor to touch a top speed of 95kmph.
The new Engine is a Air-Cooled, 4-stroke single Cylinder OHC 125cc TOD (Torque-on-Demand) engine which produces a maximum power output of 8.4 (11.4) kW (PS) @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 11 Nm @6000 rpm. The motorcycle also features the highly efficient and proven Hero i3S technology (idle stop and start system).
In terms of features, Hero has upgraded the New Splendor with AHO – Always Headlamp ON, A Side Stand indicator & direction wise signal indicator, A wider profile tyre on the rear, Broad Seats and a side utility box with lock. In terms of styling, the New splendor comes with a chrome finish muffler, sleek tail lamp and Modern graphics fused into 5 premium metallic colors, Black with purple, Black with Fiery Red Black with silver, Candy Blazing Red and Heavy Grey. The new Super Splendor surely is an Eye Candy in its own class.

Back in 2012 when Hero and Honda split, Hero’s future as the World’s largest 2 Wheeler Manufacturer was a bit ambiguous. In 2014, Hero opened up their R&D division in Rajasthan on an 100+ acre facility, as a starting point for their Own In-House Designed Engine platforms. 3 years since then Hero had no real launches and they still stands strong as the Market leader in the Domestic motorcycle market. With the launch of the New Splendor, Hero now will hit the market with its new developed models in months to come. We already have high hopes from the Xpulse concept. Also, we expect the Passion Pro, Passion ProX and Hero Xtreme to be launched during the course of next 2 quarters.
