JLR Unveils MY 2021 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Announces Special Editions

Jaguar Land Rover today unveiled The MY2021 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport , their best selling and the most well known Luxury SUV. JLR has also launched special 50th Anniversary Special editions , Range Rover Fifty and Westminster Edition . The MY 21 Units will also have new family of 3.0 l straight-six Ingenium diesel engines featuring  48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) tech and  Plug-In Hybrid.

The Range Rover will be offered in SWB, LWB and Special editions and will be offered with a choice of either a 3.0 l MHEV Petrol or 3.0 l MHEV Diesel and The Range Rover Sport will be available in six derivatives and will be offered with 2.0 petrol, 3.0 L diesel and 5.0 L Supercharged Petrol powertrain options.

Ingenium 6 Cylinder Diesel Engine –

The latest Ingenium diesel engines based around Jaguar Land Rover’s modular aluminium engine architecture  feature advanced 48V mild hybrid technology to meet the most stringent global emissions regulations. These include the Real Driving Emissions Step 2 (RDE2) standards, which govern nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, making the Range Rover among the first full-sized luxury and performance SUVs in the world to be available with RDE2-certified diesels.

The engine options of the Range Rover are as follows :

  • D250 – 249 PS (183 kW), 3.0 l six cylinder diesel MHEV, 600 Nm of torque at 1 250-2 250 rpm*
  • D300 – 300 PS (221 kW), 3.0 l six cylinder diesel MHEV, 650 Nm of torque at 1 500-2 500 rpm
  • D350 – 350 PS (257 kW), 3.0 l six cylinder diesel MHEV, 700 Nm of torque at 1 500-3 000 rpm

Petrol:

  • P400 – 400 PS (294 kW), 3.0 l six-cylinder petrol, with 550 Nm of torque at 2 000-5 000 rpm
  • P400e – 404 PS (297 kW), 2.0 l four-cylinder petrol PHEV, 640 Nm of torque at 1 500-4 000 rpm
  • P525 – 525 PS (386 kW), 5.0 l V8 Supercharged,625 Nm of torque at 2 500-5 500 rpm
  • P565 – 565 PS (415 kW), 5.0 l V8 Supercharged, 700 Nm of torque at 3 500-5 000 rpm
