LIVE! Ferrari GTC4Lusso launched in Mumbai at Rs. 5.20 crore
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso replaces the Ferrari FF as the new 4-seater Grand Tourer in the iconic Italian manufacturer’ line-up.
Ferrari has just launched the GTC4Lusso in Mumbai at their showroom at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The launch ceremony was held in presence of Mr. Aurelian Sauvard, Marketing Manager, Ferrari Middle East & India, and Mr. Sharad Kachalia, Dealer Principal of Navnit Motors for Ferrari in Mumbai. The number 4 in the name GTC4Lusso stands for a 4-seat configuration, 4-wheel drive system and the 4-wheel steering system. The design of the car has been sketched in house by Ferrari Design to make it extremely streamlined and has a tapered shape to offer a balance between sportiness while accommodating two rear seats and a large boot behind it.
As is the case with all Ferraris, the heart and soul of the car is its engine. The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is powered by a 6.3-litre V12 engine that develops a staggering 680 HP giving it a 0-100 kmph time of just 3.4 seconds. The GTC4Lusso T variant on the other hand is powered by a smaller 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 that develops 600 HP and 760 Nm. This is the same engine that powers the Ferrari 488 and has won the 2016 International Engine of the Year Award. The engines are mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that takes inspiration from Ferraris Formula 1 cars.
The powertrain is connected to all 4 wheels for unmatched grip and comes a 4-wheel steering system. These systems are complemented by the SCM-E suspension system, ESP 9.0, E-Diff upfront and third generation Ferrari Slide Slip Control (SSC3) system that makes sure the car handles like a Ferrari under any given surface condition. On the insides, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso gets a 10.2-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment display that supports Apple Car Play and a secondary 8.8-inch touchscreen on the passenger side, along with a high end surround sound system. The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T is priced at Rs. 4.20 crore before taxes in Mumbai.
