LIVE – Jawa Perak Launched in India at ₹1.94 Lakh

Jawa Perak has been launched in India at ₹194,500 (Ex Delhi). The bookings for the bobber styled Jawa motorcycle would open on 1st January 2020 across Jawa dealerships in the country. The Jawa Perak becomes the most affordable Bobber styled motorcycle in the country.

The Jawa Perak Bobber was showcased along with the Jawa Classic and the Jawa Forty Two exactly last year when the brand re-entered the  Indian market. Incidentally Classic Legends is also celebrating their 1st Anniversary today.

The Jawa Perak has been inspired by the original Jawa Perak from the 1946 Paris Motor Show in the World War II era. The classic bobber styled motorcycle in its latest reincarnation of that iconic motorcycle and now comes with teardrop tank, low-slung single seat, bobbed fenders, chopped exhaust , blacked out engine and suspension, and is finished in all Matt black paint to keep up with its custom dark image.

The seat Is in tan color while the body panels get contrasting gold pinstriping. Rear view mirrors are mounted on the handlebar end to add to its classic bobber image.

The motorcycle runs on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres of 90/90 and 100/80 spec Pirelli tyres. The Jawa Perak gets disc brakes on the front and rear and also comes with dual-channel ABS as standard. Suspension duties are taken care by inverted front forks and monoshock setup for the rear.

The motorcycle also gets a tweaked chassis and an all swingarm  tuned for offering optimum transverse, longitudinal torsional rigidity. The frame and swingarm has been tuned for linear feel and aiding stability over straights and winding roads which will play a key role in the overall handling and stability.

Powering the Jawa Perak is a larger capacity BS-VI engine with 334cc that makes 30PS of power and 31Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
