Mercedes-Benz has launched the new A-Class limousine in India with prices starting at Rs. 39.90 Lakh. The A-Class 200d comes in at Rs. 40.90 Lakh while the AMG A35 4MATIC is priced at Rs. 56.24 Lakh. The A-Limo as it is known as replaces the CLA-Class. Mercedes had opened bookings for the A-Limo in India last month. The A35 AMG also becomes the second AMG model that will be locally assembled in India by Mercedes-Benz.
The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class limousine is available in three variants which include A200 Petrol, A200d Diesel, and the performance version the A35 AMG. The A200 variant gets its power from the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 161bhp and 250Nm of torque and comes mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The A200d gets powered with the 2.0-litre diesel engine making 147bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Transmission option here is the eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The list topper for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class limousine is the performance version the A35 AMG which comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is tuned to produce 301bhp and 400Nm of torque. This powerful AMG engine comes mated to the seven-speed DCT transmission unit sending power to the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system that can push the car from 0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds, before hitting its top speed of 250kmph. Mercedes claims a fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl on the petrol model, which comes with start-stop tech.
In terms of styling the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine with the latest Mercedes family design and gets all-LED headlamp and all-LED tail lamp units, Mercedes grille, loads of premium styling and elegant looks. The sedan is one of the biggest in its class in terms of size. The AMG A35 gets restyled bumpers, and sportier alloy-wheel design and also the option of the strikingly sporty yellow paint shade.
In terms of interiors the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine gets three-user memory seat function, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, two 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard equipped with the latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) along with Mercedes Me Connect for smartphone connectivity. On the AMG A35 you get a flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather, sporty seats, Burmester surround sound system to name a few.
Safety on the Mercedes A-Class Limousine will be taken care by seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a rear view camera and lots more. You also get 8 years warranty on the A-Class which is now an industry first.
