Mahindra Names the U321 as Marazzo, this MPV Launching Before Diwali this year
Mahindra has officially named its upcoming MPV the U321 as the Marazzo. The Marazzo will be Mahindras MPV that will take on the likes of the Toyota Innova and the Tata Nexa in terms of size. Mahindra plans to launch the Marazzo before Diwali this year just in time for the big festive season.
As per Mahindra the Marazzo is inspired from the Shark and the key design elements are based on the magnificient fish. Mahindra Design Studio and the Ittalian design house Pininfarina have collaborated for the design of the Mahindra Murazzo. Murazzo is a globally developed product through a collaboration between Mahindra North America Technical Centre and Mahindra Research Valley Chennai.
Mahindra has not disclosed the positioning, tech specs and pricing of the Murazzo and kept them under wraps for the Diwali launch. What is learnt is that the Murazzo will be powered with an all new 1.5L Diesel engine with class leading features and specs on it. The Murazzo will be available as a 5 and 7 seater configuration and will come with a host of features that include an 1st in Industry Surround Cool Technology for the Aircon, futuristic instrument cluster, leather seats to name a few.
Speaking at the name reveal, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, M&M Ltd. said, “The shark-inspired Marazzo symbolizes the next generation of aspirational Mahindra vehicles. Infact the Marazzo has the largest footprint (wheelbase x front track) of any Mahindra vehicle. I am confident that it will set a new benchmark and become a game-changer in its segment”.
