Mahindra XUV500 W3 base variant Launched at ₹12.22Lakh

Mahindra has launched the ‘W3’entry level base trim of the XUV500 at ₹12.22 Lakh Ex Showroom Mumbai. This makes the XUV500 extremely competitive and gettable for many considering its size and full SUV offering.

The Mahindra XUV500 W3 trim comes with host of features included which include projector headlights, jacquard fabric upholstery, dual front airbags, ABS & EBD, all wheel disc brakes, electrical dual climate control, powered adjustable wing mirrors, engine immobilizer to name a few.

The technical specifications of the Mahindra XUV500 W3 trim remains the same and comes powered with the 2.2-Litre mHawk155 Diesel engine with 155hp of power and 360Nm of torque. The transmission duty is taken care by a 6-speed manual unit.

In terms of cosmetic changes the Mahindra XUV500 W3 which becomes the base trim now comes sans all the chrome inserts on the outside. The face remains the same except for the exclusion of the LED DRL from the headlights but you do get the projector type unit. The chrome grille is replaced by grey finish one and the W3 drives on 17-inch steel wheels without wheel caps. The black masking on the door pillars have also been removed along with the rear washer and wiper.

On the inside the changes include fabric seat upholstery while the rest of the cabin remains the same. There is no audio system on the W3.

The Mahindra XUV500 W3 trim with this pricing goes bang against the Tata Harrier and infact undercuts it. Since the Tata Harrier was launched the XUV500 was feeling the heat and now with this extremely competitive price the XUV can see good numbers again.
