Mercedes-Benz SLC43 Launched In India At Rs. 77.50 Lakhs

Mercedes-Benz SLC43 AMG is the successor to the aging SLK55 AMG in India. Also this is the first car introduced with a new two-digit nomenclature – 43.

Mercedes-Benz India is continuing with the launching spree they began early last year. The company has now launched the SLC43 in India at Rs. 77.50 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi. This roadster was unveiled just 4 months back internationally and Mercedes has been quick to get it to India. The Mercedes-Benz SLC43 is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine turbocharged to develop 362 BHP and 520 Nm. It comes mated to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic gearbox that channels power to the rear wheels. Downsizing has hit hard this time around and this turbo-V6 has replaced the naturally aspirated V8 in the SLK55. Although it hits 100 kmph quicker than the model it replace in 4.7 seconds.

The all new Mercedes-Benz SLC43 gets Dynamic LED headlights, an A-Class like Diamond radiator grille, LED taillights and dual chrome exhausts. On the insides, it gets Nappa Leather upholstery, Designo Seatbelts in red, fully electric seats with memory function and an AMG instrument cluster. The infotainment system gets Apple Car Play and Android Auto support along with a smartphone integration package and Garmin Map Pilot. To aid dynamics, it gets AMG Dynamic Select with 5 drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual, AMG Sports Suspension with a 4-link rear axle and AMG Braking System.

Safety features on the Mercedes-Benz SLC43 include Attention Assist, Adaptive Brakes with Anti-lock Braking system, priming and brake drying function, Hill Start Assist and Hold function, Brake Assist, Acceleration skid control (ASR), 3-stage Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Pre-Safe system with reversible belt tensioners for driver and front passenger seats, and crash-responsive Neck-Pro head restraints. The company is also offering service packages for the SLC43 starting at Rs. 84,000/- with an industry first unlimited mileage. This package will cover all the periodic maintenance jobs of the car, while optional extended warranty for the 4th year for the AMG SLC43 is priced at Rs. 2,00,000/-.
