Rolls Royce Dawn To Launch In India On June 24th

Rolls Royce will launch the Dawn Convertible in Mumbai on the 24th of June 2016. The ultra luxury convertible was first announced last year and will make its India debut next week.

Rolls Royce, the ultimate luxury car maker is all set to launch the Dawn Convertible in Mumbai on June 24, 2016. It is a 4-seater convertible that is based on the Rolls Royce Ghost. The open top Rolls was launched last year at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and the company has decided to bring it to India immediately after its international unveil. It is expected to be priced in the region of Rs. 5 crore and will offer the utmost exclusivity to owners. The Dawn looks like other Rolls Royce cars with the upright silver grille and the big high polish 21-inch wheels. It has a gorgeous convertible roof with the rear looking typically Rolls Royce.

The Rolls Royce Dawn is powered by a 6.6-litre Twin Turbo V12 that develops 563 BHP of power at 5,250 RPM and 780 Nm of torque at 1,500 RPM. The car has a limited top speed of 250 kmph and weighs 2,560 kgs. The motor is coupled to a 8-speed automatic transmission that is sourced from ZF, Germany. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and delivers a combined fuel consumption of 14.2 litre/100 kms or 7.04 kmpl.

On the insides, it will be as luxurious and special like a Rolls Royce should be. The dashboard has the same classy and traditional feel of the Wraith and the Ghost upon which it is based. The interior will be covered in leather and the company will offer a whole range of customization options right from the type of leather and wood trim to the type of stitching on the seats. The Rolls Royce Dawn will be imported into India via the CBU route and will be manufactured at the company’s Goodwood factory in England.
