Nissan Launches India’s Most Affordable Hatchback With CVT Automatic Gearbox

Nissan India has launched the Micra CVT in India at a starting price of Rs. 5.99 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi. This makes it the most affordable premium automatic hatchback with a CVT transmission currently on sale in India.

Nissan India has launched its only hatchback, the Micra, with a CVT automatic gearbox at an affordable Rs. 5.99 lakhs. The Micra CVT has been launched in two trim levels – XL and XV. The XV variant is priced at Rs. 6.73 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi. The automatic gearbox is mated to the petrol motor and delivers a mileage of 19.34 kmpl (as per ARAI). The 1.2-litre petrol motor develops 79 BHP but given the very low kerb weight offers peppy performance. The Micra also comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Nissan Micra CVT comes loaded with features like Smart Key with Push start stop, steering mounted audio controls, rear LED combi lamp, follow-me home headlamps, Speed sensing doors and auto air conditioning controls. On the safety front it gets SRS Dual Airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). It comes with 15-inch alloy wheels which makes it one of the truly loaded automatic hatchbacks in the country today.
