Audi seems to be in no mood to tone down its promotions for its soon to be launched all new Audi A8 luxury sedan.

Audi A8

The Audi A8 sedan is slated for a public premiere in the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. Even before that, the German brand will be premiering its flagship sedan to a more private audience on 11th of July in the ‘Audi Summit’ to be held in Barcelona, Spain. With the Audi marketing team working overtime, it was also revealed recently that the Audi A8 sedan will feature in the latest Spiderman movie, ‘Spiderman: Homecoming” which will premiere in theatres in USA on July 7, 2017 and we had carried that news too here.

Now, assuming that Audi fans are not getting enough of it, Audi team has released a teaser video of the Audi A8 luxury flagship sedan. The video highlights the latest new feature incorporated in Audi A8, its autonomous driving capabilities. The video features a man driving his Audi A8 to his home with his son sleeping at the back. On reaching home, he parks the car in front of the lot, carries his sleeping son along into his home while the Audi is seen parking itself into the lot.

Audi’s CEO Mr. Rupert Stadler, had earlier revealed that the new Audi A8 will come featured with Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. Level 3 self driving means that under certain conditions, the vehicles can drive or maneuver itself without the need for any manual human intervention. As per the claims made by Audi, the new Audi A8 can drive itself up to speeds of 60 kmph which is very exciting. It can also manage to park itself as seen in the teaser video.

Based on the group’s MLB platform, the new Audi A8 will carry turbocharged V6, V8 and W12 engines as its heart. All these engines will be assisted by a 48-volt mild hybrid system and will also feature a regenerative braking system that will recover the lost energy while braking.
