Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Bookings Now Open, Priced At Rs. 12.49 Lakhs
Isuzu Motors has announced pre-bookings for the new D-Max V-Cross pick up. It has been priced at Rs. 12.49 lakhs ex-showroom, Chennai with deliveries set to begin in July 2016.
Adventure Utility Vehicle is what Isuzu Motors is calling their new D-Max V-Cross pick up. This is basically a more luxurious version of the D-Max pick up for buyers who want better interior comfort and features than the more focused D-Max. The V-Cross was showcased for the first time at the Auto Expo 2016 in February this year. The V-Cross segment of vehicles are very popular in the developed markets abroad, and are commonly used, not only for the off-roading and adventure activity, but also for daily commute and utility purposes. The vehicle has been tested for 40 lakh kms and is marketed as a tough and durable off-roading vehicle, with aggressive styling and a host of safety features.
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is designed on the company’s iGRIP platform which is the abbreviation for ‘Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform’. It is powered by a powerful BS 4 engine that develops 134 BHP and 320 Nm of power and torque respectively, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Some of the features on the V-Cross’s CRDi engine are Melt-in Liner, chain driven camshaft, Graphite coated pistons, cast roller rocker arm and piston bearings, Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) and an intercooler. On the insides you get features like Electro-Luminescent meters with MID, Tilt adjustable steering and steering mounted audio controls, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and loads of storage compartments. There is also a Shift on the fly 4-wheel drive selector that lets you shift from 4-wheel drive to 2-wheel drive without stopping.
On the safety front, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, ISOFIX rear seat, engine immobilizer and crumple zones.
