The Velar will also be launched with a petrol engine, powered by a 2000 cc mill capable of producing 246 bhp pf power and a 365 Nm of torque. Based on the demand, a 3.0 litre V6 engine might also be added to the line up for those V6 lovers.

Power delivery should be taken care by the slick 8-speed automatic transmission seen doing duty in other JLR models and an all-wheel drive tech ensures sufficient traction is available in all the four wheels.Land Rover’s famous terrain response system should also make it to the model.

The Range Rover Velar will be pitted against the likes of BMW X6 and Mercedes benz GLE Coupe and is expected to be priced between Rs.80 lakh to Rs.1.1 Crore.
