Lamborghini Hosts First Ever Super Sports Car Drive For Women In India

Automobili Lamborghini India piloted the First Super Sports Car Drive for Women in New Delhi. The drive was flagged off by Armaan Ebrahim, the Indian contender for Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo along with Sharad Agarwal, the Head of Lamborghini India.

With an aim to encourage the culture of driving passion amongst women, Lamborghini India has conducted the first ever Super Sports Car Drive exclusively for women owners. The drive took place in the national capital of Delhi and the fleet consisted of nine Lamborghini lady owners from different walks of life. The drive covered 45 km commencing from Shangri-La, Hotel, centre of New Delhi to Buddha International Circuit (BIC) giving the experience on ease of handling and maneuvering on city roads to all the women drivers. Later all the women drivers were given the drive experience on BIC, where Armaan Ebrahim guided them with finer aspects of driving a Lamborghini on a race track.

Spearheading the lot was Mrs. Sheetal Dugar, the first Indian woman to own and drive a Lamborghini. Outlining her experience of driving, she quoted, “It was a privilege to be a part of the first ever super sports car drive for women conducted by Lamborghini in India. It was the first time, I have ever driven in an all-women drive. Events like this should motivate women in our country to follow their passion for driving super sports cars. It feels I am exploring new horizons and crossing more boundaries every time that I am behind my steering wheel.”

Andrea Baldi, General Manager Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific commented, “With the number of women car buyers increasing every year globally, we are glad that Lamborghini India took this initiative to provide a platform for women to drive super sports cars in India.” Mr. Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India added, “We intend to serve as a catalyst for the passion of driving amongst women. Lamborghini India will take this initiative forward across other cities in the country.”
