LIVE! Honda CLIQ launched in Pune at Rs. 43,076/-

The Honda CLIQ is venturing into a new space with a heavy duty scooter that can take in the worst of the roads and can be utterly practical at the same time.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India LTD today launched it latest scooter, the Honda CLIQ in Pune. It has been priced at an attractive Rs. 43,076/- Ex-showroom Pune and has created a new segment with itself. Honda is the largest scooter manufacturer of India and has launched quirky scooters over it regime in the subcontinent. It started off with it’s motoscooter, the Dio which went on to become a super success, and recently launched the Navi which has again been well received for it’s crossover styling. The company has now entered into yet another unknown segment with the CLIQ scooter.

The Honda CLIQ has been majorly developed for the semi urban areas where roads are less than perfect and scooter is a major means of transportation. The CLIQ offers block tread tyres and a high ground clearance to negate through bad roads. It is powered by the tried and trusted 109cc single cylinder engine that develops 8 bhp and 8.94 Nm. The engine is mated to a gearless CVT gearbox and gets features like a maintenance free battery, viscous air filter that lasts up to 16,000 kms and the mandatory auto headlamp on feature.

The Honda CLIQ scores high on practicality too with features like load carrier on the rear, wide floor board, longer seat and under seat storage, mobile charging sockets (optional) and a self start system. The scooter also gets Honda’s Combi Brakes that brakes both wheels with a pull off the left lever, thereby maintaining control and stability during hard braking. The Honda CLIQ has a fuel tank capacity of 3.5 litres and a kerb weight of 102 kgs.
