LIVE! MV Agusta Brutale 800 launched in India at Rs. 15.59 lakhs

MV Agusta Brutale 800 will take on the likes of the Ducati Monster 797 that was launched in India very recently.

MV Agusta, the maker of some of the finest sports bikes in the world has launched it’s new mid size sports bike the Brutale 800 in India. It has been priced at Rs. 15.59 lakhs Ex-showroom, Pune and competes with the Ducati Monster 797, Triumph Street Triple S and Kawasaki Z900. It is powered by a 798cc 3-cylinder motor that churns out 108 HP and 83 Nm. The engine gets some high tech bits like the MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) technology and 8-level traction control system. The bike will be assembled in India via the SKD (semi knocked down units) route. The bike possesses some serious performance with a top speed of 237 kmph.

The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is based on a Composite steel trellis and aluminium plate frame for high torsional rigidity. Suspension duties are carried out by a Single-sided swingarm with adjustable rear monoshock and Upside-down adjustable 43mm front fork. A dry weight of 175 kgs and a short wheelbase make sure the bike handles well through corners while safety systems like a 3 stage ABS along with 320mm and 220mm front and rear disc brakes make sure you stop in complete control.

On the looks front, the MV Agusta Brutale 800 looks much like it’s previous iteration. The iconic elliptical headlights are now full LED with day time running lights. There is also a new instrument cluster and a new chiselled fuel tank looks sharper than before. The triple exhaust remains a classic Brutale touch and are bigger on the new Brutale 800. The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is available in 3 colour options – black matte metallic/ matte silver, Pearl ice white/ matte metallic graphite, red/ matte silver.
