MG Motor has launched the Astor SUV in India with prices starting at Rs.9.78 Lakh. The MG Astor will be available in 4 trims namely Style, Super, Smart and Sharp and can be got in body color options and three interior colors. Bookings for the Astor open on October 21st across dealerships and today Online with deliveries starting November.

The Astor is termed as India’s 1st Artificial Intelligence enabled car which comes with host of comfort, safety and convenience features on it. Safety features include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that uses a camera and radar to enable bits like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning etc.
MG Astor comes loaded with features like LED headlamps with DRLs, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, electric parking brake, tyre pressure monitor (TPMS), 360-degree camera, driving modes namely Normal, Urban, Dynamic), panoramic sunroof and also, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Astor is based on the MG’s successful global platform, ZS and comes with two engine options – the Brit Dynamic 220 TURBO petrol engine with a six-speed AT (automatic) delivering a 140ps of power and VTi Tech petrol engine The new MG Astor also comes with a three-year unlimited km warranty and there is an option to extend the same as well. The company says that the maintenance cost for the Astor is just 47 paise per km. MG Motor India has also announced a buyback plan for the Astor under which customers can get up to 60 percent value of the vehicle after 3 years.
MG will commence deliveries of the Astor in November, with the company targeting delivery of at least 5,000 units before 2021 ends. Introductory prices will only be valid for this year.
