Maruti Baleno CVT launched in top Alpha trim, Priced at Rs. 8.34 lakhs
Maruti Baleno CVT was previously offered on the Delta variant but will now be also offered on the top two rim levels – Zeta and Alpha.
In a bid to democratize clutchless driving, Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has launched a new range topping variant of the Baleno hatchback. Previously available only in the Delta trim, the Baleno CVT will now be also available in the Zeta and Alpha trims. Since its launch in October 2015, over 2,00,000 Balenos have been sold by Maruti Suzuki. It achieved the 1,00,000 unit sales milestone in less than a year setting a record for being the top selling premium hatchback in India.
The top Baleno CVT Alpha gets features like the 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Mirror Link. The system also supports satellite navigation and other connectivity features like Bluetooth, USB and AUX. The Alpha trim also gets a colour multi-information display. Other features like 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear AC vents etc. The Maruti Baleno CVT is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol motor that develops 83 HP of max power. The engine is rated to deliver a fuel efficiency of 21.04 kmpl.
The Maruti Baleno CVT competes with the Honda Jazz CVT, Nissan Micra CVT and the Hyundai Elite i20 AT. The Baleno has been one of the top selling models in the country. It also offers safety features like airbags and ABS as standard equipment. Baleno is being exported to over 100 countries and is the first car from Maruti Suzuki being exported to Japan under Government’s ‘Make in India’ mission. Over 68,000 units of Baleno have been exported across the world including Japan, Australia, New Zealand and several parts of Europe and Latin America.
