Honda inaugurates its 150th ‘Best Deal’ outlet in Coimbatore

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Limited (HMSL) has inaugurated its 150th ‘Best Deal’ outlet in the southern city of Coimbatore, its exclusive pre-owned two-wheeler outlet at Aadhi Honda, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Seeing the potential in the used two-wheeler market, Honda had started the in-house Best Deal used two wheelers outlet which has been seeing heartening growth for the manufacturer.

Seeing the tremendous response, it has been garnering through its used two-wheeler business, HMSI has advanced its target for Best Deal outlets to 200 units by the end of this financial year.

The Best Deal – certified pre-owned two-wheelers outlet is the first organized retail setup exclusively for two-wheelers. Through these outlets, Honda has been able to reach out to more customers and tap into the huge potential that is offered by the pre-owned two- wheeler market.

One of the most convincing reason towards an organized two-wheeler business is the fact that in spite of the new two-wheelers industry facing many a challenge due to demonetization and BS3 to BS4 transition, the demand for two wheelers had grown much more during this period. In the FY 2016-17, Honda’s Best Deal business had seen a whopping 23% growth which is thrice the growth see by new two-wheelers business at 7%. Best Deal network too had seen rapid expansion from Honda seeing a growth of 44% to 147 outlets in FY 2016-17.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of 150th Best Deal outlet, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “With the introduction of the concept of Certified Pre-owned Outlets – Best Deal, Honda has pioneered 2 Wheeler industry’s credible and trust worthy pre-owned business platform. Our experience shows that pre-owned industry is evolving at a very fast pace and the replacement cycle for two-wheeler has come down to 4-5 years. Honda sees good future potential in pre-owned two-wheeler business and has advanced its expansion horizon to 200 Best Deal Outlets by the end of this fiscal itself.”

Currently, Honda’s Best Deal network covers 117 cities across 21 states in India.
