LIVE – 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Launched at Rs. 40 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2018 C-Class in India just a short while back at a glittering event in the capital with prices starting at Rs. 40 Lakh.

The C-Class is the biggest seller in its segment and the 2018 version gets a lot of updates that include a new diamond studded grille that comes flanked by new LED headlamp units, all new bumper design,  redesigned 17-inch alloys also with the option to upsize to 18-inch ones, rear bumper also gets a all new design along with redesigned  LED tail lamps.

On the inside the changes include a 12.3 inch colour instrument cluster display with Classic, Sport and Progressive customised displays, all new 10.25 inch display on the center console, dual zone climate control, active park assist, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include seven airbags, attention assist and adaptive braking features loaded to it.

The biggest update is on the engine with the introduction of new BS-VI compliant engines. The C Class 220d comes powered with the 4 cylinder EU6 1950cc diesel engine with 194hp of power at 3800rpm and 400nm of torque. this engine can do a zero to 100kmph is 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 232kmph and will be available on the Progressive and Prime trims. The C Class C300d AMG Line comes powered by the EU6 1950cc 4 cylinder engine with 245hp of power and 500nm of torque, this version can do a 0 to 100kmph dash in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 250kmph. Both the engine variants come with the latest generation 9GTRONIC transmission.

The C220d Prime is priced at Rs. 40 Lakh while the C220d Progressive comes in at Rs. 44.25 Lakh. The top of the line C300d AMG Line is priced at Rs. 48.50 Lakh. All prices Ex Showroom India.
